Due to the weather, we did not get bills out on time since the post office was closed until Wednesday last week.  Therefore, utility bills are not due until February 11th (usually the 10th).  For customers who have their bills paid by automatic bank draft, they will not see it pulled until February 11th.  We will not charge late fees until February 17th (usually the 11th) and disconnects will not be until February 23rd (usually the 20th).  Please keep in mind February 16th is a holiday for the City and offices will be closed. Thank you!

Fox Stephens Field / Gilmer Municipal Airport, was first dedicated on October 23, 1969. This was a day in which many contributed much of their time, efforts, inspiration and encouragement so that this addition to the industrial growth of our county could be made possible. The facility has served as a tool in bringing industry to this area and we have continued to encourage its use by local industry.

Notice: The City of Gilmer adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate.
The tax rate will effectively be raised by 8% and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $31.06.
